Jet Pipe Plumbing provides whole-house water line replacement in Sunnyvale, CA, serving homeowners throughout Menlo Park, Santa Clara, and the South Bay. This service replaces every hot and cold supply line in the home, from the main shutoff to each individual fixture, in a single coordinated project.

The Fix for Aging Galvanized or CPVC Pipe

Older homes often still have galvanized steel supply lines, which corrode from the inside and gradually restrict water flow while raising the risk of a sudden leak. Some newer homes have CPVC pipe that becomes brittle over time. Whole-house water line replacement addresses both by replacing every line at once.

Whole House Water Line Replacement

Complete replacement of all hot and cold supply lines throughout your home, from the main shutoff to every faucet, shower, toilet, and appliance connection.

Full replacement of the primary line bringing water from the municipal supply into your home. It can be replaced on its own or together with the interior lines.

Targeted replacement of specific corroded or failing sections, such as a bathroom wing or a kitchen branch, where the problem is localized and the rest of the system is intact.

Broader Scope Than a Single Line

Whole-house water line replacement covers the entire supply system inside the house, a broader scope than a main water line replacement, which covers only the underground line coming in, or a single pipe repair. It is the right fit when multiple sections of old piping are failing or nearing the end of their service life together.

Signs You May Need Whole-House Replacement

Low water pressure throughout the house, discolored or rusty water, recurring pinhole leaks in different locations, and visible corrosion on exposed pipes are all signs that a home’s supply lines may need replacing house-wide rather than one section at a time.

1 to 3 Day Turnaround

Most whole-house water line replacement projects are completed in one to three days, depending on the project. Drywall patching is included.

What to Expect From Estimate to Sign-Off

Replacing every supply line starts with a free visit. A technician looks at the pipe material and how the lines run through the house, then you get a written price. Financing is available if you would rather pay over time.

Replacing the interior water lines requires a city permit. When the job also includes the main water line, we draw the plan and get the permit from the city. We schedule the work on a date that suits you, and the replacement itself takes 1 to 3 days, depending on the house. When the copper is in, the openings stay secured and uncovered until the city inspector checks the new lines for pressure, pipe type, and diameter, as the project requires. In San Jose, the grounding rod must be bonded to the water line before the job can pass.

With the first inspection approved, we patch the drywall. A second inspection follows once everything is closed, and it is usually a formality.

Before recommending a full replacement, we assess the condition and age of your existing piping to confirm whether a whole-house approach is actually necessary, or whether targeted repairs would address the issue just as well.

Financing Available

Given the scope of a whole-house project, financing is available for homeowners who prefer to spread the cost over time rather than paying the full amount upfront.

What Happens to Walls and Flooring

Replacing every supply line in a home does require some access to walls and flooring, and we’re upfront about what that involves before the project starts. Our crews cut small, targeted openings in drywall to reach existing lines rather than removing entire walls, and in most homes the majority of the work happens in accessible areas like closets, crawl spaces, and attics rather than finished living space. Any drywall we open is patched as part of the project, though painting and texture matching are typically handled separately since paint color and wall texture vary from home to home.
